Lester B. Pearson's iconic image a subject of Rubikcubism

In honour of the 50th anniversary of becoming the 14th Prime Minister of Canada, the driving force behind the establishment of the college, and its namesake, Lester B. Pearson, has become a primary subject of Rubikcubism. Second-year Pearson College student from Syria, Layth Yousif – known by close friends and classmates as Leo – is inspired by Pearson, one of the most influential men in Canadian history. READ MORE

Massimiliano Gioni: The Crown Prince of the Art World

As the youngest curator to direct the Venice Biennale in more than a hundred years, Massimiliano Gioni (Pearson College alumnus) will test his gritty-yet-glamorous approach to modern art when the prestigious fair opens this summer. International contemporary art curators are not known for their charm. For that select class of professional explainers and tastemakers, a certain hauteur seems to be the norm—a prerequisite, perhaps, given the hermetic complexity of so much contemporary art. Alumnus Graham Reeder (PC YR 34) wins Watson Fellowship

Pearson College alumnus, Graham Reeder, now a College of the Atlantic student gets awarded a year of his dreams! Two College of the Atlantic students have been awarded coveted Watson Fellowships—funding each student for a yearlong pursuit on a project of their dreams. Lisa Bjerke will be investigating municipal composting throughout the world; Graham Reeder will look into community-based strategies adapting to climate change. The students are among 40 seniors from 31 colleges who were chosen by the foundation from 148 finalists. READ MORE
